MakDARTA: Makerere University Data Science Research Training to Strengthen Evidence-Based Health Innovation, Intervention and Policy (Co-Investigator)
Florence Nameere Kivunike is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Information Technology, School of Computing and Information Technology at Makerere University. Florence's research interest is in the area of informatics as applied to various sectors including health, government agriculture, etc. On the MakDarta project, Florence is overseeing the review and development of the health data science curriculum. She has previously overseen the development and implementation of the Bioinformatics graduate programme at Makerere University. Also, as a Project Coordinator of the DS-I TB Africa, Florence is responsible for the Day-to-Day running of the project activities, a liaison between the biomedical and AI team.
