    DATICAN: Data Science and Medical Image Analysis Training for Improved Health Care Delivery in Nigeria (Co-PI)

    Dr. Adenike Temitayo Adeniji-Sofoluwe is a respected Nigerian radiologist, academic, and consultant. She earned her MB;BCh from the University of Calabar in 1997 and holds fellowships from the West African College of Surgeons and the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria. In 2012, she obtained an MSc in Molecular Genetics and Diagnostics from the University of Nottingham and an MD in 2022. Dr. Adeniji-Sofoluwe is a Consultant Radiologist at University College Hospital, Ibadan, and is a Reader at the University of Ibadan. She is active in medical education, mentoring and examining for regional postgraduate colleges. Her research focuses on breast imaging, particularly mammography and ultrasound in the African population, and she has published extensively on topics such as pregnancy-related breast disease, parasitic calcifications, and image-guided breast interventions. She is also involved in collaborative oncology research, contributing to studies on HER2-positive breast cancer and biopsy techniques. An active member of several professional societies, including RSNA, EUSOBI, AORTIC, and AACR, Dr. Adeniji-Sofoluwe is dedicated to improving radiologic practice and breast cancer care in Nigeria and across Africa through education, research, and clinical excellence.
