Wellcome Trust (Future Fellow)
I am a Future Fellow at the University of Glasgow and a principal investigator on the Mental Health Data Prize project. I am seconded to the Malawi Epidemiology and Intervention Research Unit (MEIRU), where I serve as Cohort Manager and Epidemiologist on the Wellcome-funded Healthy Lives Malawi: an intergenerational chronic conditions cohort. My work focuses on long-term physical and mental health conditions, multimorbidity, and health inequalities in rural and urban Malawi. I have led the development of a longitudinal population cohort on chronic conditions and the establishment of an urban Health and Demographic Surveillance System (HDSS) - Lilongwe HDSS. I serve as a co-investigator on several major projects, including studies on diabetes, musculoskeletal health, and the genetics of anxiety. My work integrates epidemiology, population health, omics, and community-engaged research to inform equitable, evidence-based health interventions and policies.
