    Victoria is a Senior Research Manager in Wellcome's Discovery Researchers team, which is responsible for supporting new and existing experienced researchers from across the breadth of the Discovery Research funding remit. Victoria manages a broad portfolio of research across infection biology, immunology and population & public health, and has proactively chosen to support initiatives that look to advance sustainable health and wellbeing in the Global South. This includes working with researchers leading the African Population Cohorts Consortium. Prior to joining Wellcome, I worked as a research scientist in the UK, Netherlands and Uganda, studying ways in which to control the immune system's ability both to limit and promote disease, specifically helminth infections, allergies, cancer and most recently SARS-CoV-2.
