    West African Centre for Cell Biology of Infectious Pathogens (Data Manager & Statistician)

    Francis Dzabeng is a computational data scientist with research interests in Evidence-based Healthcare & Practice, AI and data integration. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Applied Chemistry from the University for Development Studies, an MSc degree in Health Informatics from the University of Ghana, and a Post-graduate diploma in Advanced Computing from the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing, India. Francis is the Data Manager & Statistician here at WACCBIP and is primarily responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the Centre's data systems and data management policies, as well as performing data analytics roles for ongoing research projects. Prior to working at WACCBIP, he held a Research Fellow/Senior Data Manager position with the Kintampo Health Research Centre (KHRC) where he jointly designed and maintained complex large-scale databases using emerging technologies for projects such as Malaria Vaccine Trials, Randomised comparison of two household survey modules for measuring stillbirths and neonatal deaths in five countries (the Every Newborn-INDEPTH study), and Health and Demographic Surveillance Systems running across 6 districts in the Bono-East Region. He is currently a PhD Fellow on the NIHR-GHRG for the Digital Diagnostics for Health Systems project at the University of Ghana.
