Dr. Ahmed Abdulkadir Hassan-Kadle is a Somali veterinarian, epidemiologist, and One Health leader with over 11 years of experience in zoonotic disease surveillance, One Health systems, and food security programming in fragile settings. He is the Founder and President of the Somali One Health Centre and currently serves as Rector of Abrar University. Dr. Kadle has led major research and development initiatives funded by Wellcome Trust, FAO, and UNESCO-TWAS, including mobile suitcase labs and climate-sensitive zoonotic surveillance systems. He has trained over 900 professionals and published 20+ peer-reviewed articles on vector-borne and zoonotic diseases. His work bridges science, policy, and local innovation to advance health equity in Somalia and the Horn of Africa.
