    Africa Academy for Public Health (AAPH) (Senior Technical Advisor)

    Innocent B. Mboya (Ph.D.) is a Senior Technical Advisor at the Africa Academy for Public Health (AAPH), Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. He completed his postdoctoral researcher position in register-based epidemiology at the Department of Translational Medicine, Lund University, Malm�, Sweden. He is also a Lecturer at KCMC University, School of Public Health, Moshi, Tanzania. Innocent has accumulated over ten years of combined experience as a researcher, project coordinator, and trainer. His experience ranges from public health, epidemiology and applied biostatistics, data quality assurance, monitoring vaccine uptake and coverage (e.g., COVID-19 and childhood vaccines in Tanzania), maternal and child health (investigating predictors of adverse pregnancy outcomes), nutritional status of mothers and children, non-communicable diseases (e.g., surveys on HPV screening for cervical cancer, hypertension, diabetes, and mental health screening), monitoring HIV infection in key populations, SRH, and healthcare provider workload. He has experience coordinating and conducting community-based surveys, community engagement, and project monitoring and evaluation at the local and national levels. With a background in epidemiology and applied biostatistics, he also possesses diverse data management and analysis skills and has authored several articles and abstracts presented at national and international conferences, demonstrating his track record in scientific writing.
