    BridgELSI: Bridging Gaps in the ELSI of Data Science Health Research in Nigeria (Consultant)

    Prof Uthman is the immediate past Head of the department of Arabic and Islamic Studies at the University of Ibadan and currently on sabbatical at the Adeyemi Federal University of Education Ondo.He is currently a Consultant with the Bridging Gaps in the Ethical Legal and Social Implications of Data Science Health Research (BridgELSI), (2023 till date). Before now, he was a Research Partner in the Interfaith Dialogue For Peace and National Integration in Nigeria, A National TETFUND-SPONSORED RESEARCH PROJECT (2020-2023), Consultant, Mapping The Global Muslim Population (Pew Research Centre, 2009), Visiting Lecturer, Universiti Sains Islam, Malaysia (2010-2011), Visiting Scholar, University of California, Santa Barbara (2013), Visiting Researcher, National Open University of Nigeria (2015-2016) after having been pioneering Head of the dept. of Islamic Religious and General Studies, Crescent University, Abeokuta.
