    Dr. Agnes Karingo Karume is a Research Scientist at Kenyatta National Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya, where she leads grant-writing efforts, coordinates collaborative research projects, and conducts clinical audits. She also plays a vital role in research mentorship, training, and the development of policy briefs, shaping policies at both the institutional level and within the Ministry of Health. As an emerging early-career investigator, Dr. Karume's research is centered on Improvement and Implementation Science, particularly in the areas of reproductive health, mental health, maternal and child health, and HIV/AIDS. She holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) from the University of Nairobi, an MBA from Strathmore University, and an MPH in Global Health from the University of Washington. Her background encompasses clinical care, research, and policy development across diverse settings. Dr. Karume's long-term research goal is to utilize implementation science and epidemiological methods to address both health system and individual-level barriers, thereby optimizing health outcomes for women, adolescents, and children. Currently she leads projects in integrating stepped care for perinatal mood and anxiety disorders in maternal and child health clinics, evaluating an mHealth intervention for reproductive health counseling among women living with HIV, and the integration of non-communicable disease prevention and treatment into
