DS-CHANGE: Data Science for Child Health Now in Ghana (Masters Student)
I am driven by the transformative potential of biomedical data science in shaping healthcare systems, particularly in Africa. Currently, I'm pursuing an MPhil in Biomedical Data Science at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). I strongly believe that Africa's future in quality healthcare depends on our ability to understand not just diseases, but the individuals affected by them. I therefore aspire to place people and their interactions with the environment and not just pathologies, at the center of biomedical discovery. My long-term goal is to be part of a future where Ghana and Africa are major contributors to biomedical science discoveries and data-driven healthcare solutions.
