DS-CHANGE: Data Science for Child Health Now in Ghana (Masters Student)

I am Jonathan Kalami. I am 24 year old and was born on 4th of July the year 2001. I am the second child among the 4 children of my parents. We live in Hohoe, Volta Region. I hold a bachelors degree in Biochemistry, with a strong foundation in bioinformatics and data driven research. To persons I am usually with or those I don't even know, I am the guy who can't help helping others, a quality I believe was passed down from my parents. I am a passionate person who believes in helping people. This quality has translated into a research desire to employ data driven methods to understand disease mechanisms and consequently improve prediction, diagnosis and prevention. My current academic research experience spans integrated omics analysis, comparative analysis and pathogen genomics. I am currently pursuing Mphil Biomedical Data Science as part of DS-I Africa's DS-CHANGE Training program, where I hope to apply deep learning techniques to medical imaging for improving prediction and diagnosis in critical child health and injury. I work hard to be who I want to be in order to be in a better position to help people in all aspects of life
