INFORM: Role of Data Streams In Informing Infection Dynamics in Africa (Finance/Research Admin)
Douglou Samuel is a finance and grants management professional currently serving as the Finance Liaison Officer of the International Research Centre of Excellence (IRCE) at the Institute of Human Virology Nigeria (IHVN). With a background in accounting and financial analysis, he plays a role in bridging research and finance, managing grant budgets, ensuring donor compliance, and facilitating strategic financial planning across multiple international research collaborations. Douglou supports both pre- and post-award activities, including budgeting for new grants, carryover budgets, expenditure tracking, and financial reporting to Project stakeholders. His portfolio includes grants and studies funded by NIH, CDC, USAID, GVN, GIZ, Glaxo SmithKline, University of Cambridge, UMB-PGIF, IDRC, and EDTCP, collaborating with international partners like UMB, CAPRISA, SAMRC and AKROS. He holds a bachelor's degree from Bingham University and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Forensic Accounting and Auditing at Nasarawa State University Keffi. Passionate about accountability and development, Douglou also supports small businesses in Nigeria through accounting and advisory services and is building a finance-focused brand. He thrives on precision, intellectual challenge, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
