    Dr Eskinder Eshetu Ali is a pharmacist by training and got a BA in Economics, an MSc in pharmacoepidemiology and social pharmacy and a PhD in the design and evaluation of interventions for enhancing patient medication adherence. He is currently the Vice Executive Dean for Academic Affairs: College of Health Sciences (CHS), Addis Ababa University (AAU) and Capacity Building and M&E Coordinator for the Gates Foundation supported Workforce, Information Systems, and Supply Chain optimization to strengthen primary health care in Ethiopia (WISE Ethiopia Project). This is in addition to his academic position as an Assistant Professor of Social and Administrative Pharmacy at the Department of Pharmaceutics and Social Pharmacy, AAU, Ethiopia. He has a range of practical and research skills in the areas of access to medicines, medicines financing, quality assurance of health and pharmaceutical services, health systems strengthening, mobile health (mHealth), pharmacovigilance and post marketing surveillance. In 2019, Eskinder was selected for the Principal Investigator role for the International Society of Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) Africa Network Research Committee and is serving as the chair of ISPOR Africa Network.
