Dr Samson Kiware - Participant

Ifakara Health Institute (Principal Research Scientist)

Dr. Samson Kiware holds a Ph.D. in Computational Sciences and is a Principal Research Scientist at the Ifakara Health Institute (IHI). He supports various initiatives aimed at advancing data science and mathematical modeling in Tanzania and beyond. He is currently funded by the Gates Foundation on a project focused on strengthening data and modeling capacity in malaria-endemic countries. Additionally, he serves as the Principal Investigator for the Wellcome Trust-funded AnoSTEP AfriKa Project: A Comprehensive Assessment of the Biology and Public Health Importance of Anopheles stephensi in Africa. Dr. Kiware also provides technical support to several national malaria programs in data management and analysis, and he is a member of Tanzania's Vector Control Technical Working Group.
