    Dr. Tsegahun Manyazewal currently leads and coordinates Postdoctoral, Ph.D., and MSc programs and multiple research projects at Addis Ababa University, Center for Innovative Drug Development and Therapeutic Trials for Africa (CDT-Africa), Ethiopia. Previously, he was the site principal investigator and coordinator of multiple US CDC and PEPFAR-supported programs implemented in Ethiopia by Emory University Global Health Institute, the University of California San Diego School of Medicine, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, University of Maryland School of Medicine, and the Johns Hopkins University. He published over 100 peer-reviewed articles in areas of health technology and innovation, infectious diseases, and health policy. He is currently co-PI (Ethiopia Site PI) of the Wellcome Trust-funded (R. No.: 227721/Z/23/Z) AVATAR Therapy project that aims to establish AVATAR therapy Implementation and Training Hubs in Ethiopia and India and develop an AI-driven version delivering automated dialogues. Dr Manyazewal received Postdoctoral in clinical research (Emory University, USA), Ph.D. in Public Health (University of South Africa), MSc in Tropical and Infectious Diseases (Addis Ababa University/AAU, Ethiopia), and BSc in Laboratory Medicine (AAU, Ethiopia).
