Dr Audu Ishaq Aveka: (MBBS, MPH, FMCPsych, FWACP) is an Associate Professor/Consultant Psychiatrist and Head of Department of Psychiatry, Ahmadu Bello University/Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Zaria, Nigeria. As the Head of Department, he ensures the implementation of the policy direction of the Department in particular, the Medical College, and the University in general. He is involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as research and community services in line with the objectives of the University. He is an examiner for the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria> he is currently part of the Nigerian team carrying out an international study on Depression Genetics in Africa.
