    Eng. Dr. Johnes Obungoloch is the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology (FAST), at Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST). He is a Senior lecturer in the department of Biomedical Engineering He holds a bachelor;s degree in Electrical engineering from Makerere University, a Master's degree in Biomedical engineering from Keele University in the United Kingdom and a PhD in biomedical engineering from the Pennsylvania State University in the United States. Eng. Dr. Obungoloch's research interests is in the fields of medical technologies and medical imaging, specifically magnetic resonance imaging. He is the current interim president of the Uganda National Association of Medical and Hospital Engineering (UNAMHE), a corporate member of the Uganda Institution of Professional Engineers (UIPE), and a former member of the World Health Organzation's Stretegic Technical and Advisory Group on Medical Devices (STAGMEDEV). Eng. Dr. Obungoloch is also the president of the African Chapter of the International Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM).
