    DATICAN: Data Science and Medical Image Analysis Training for Improved Health Care Delivery in Nigeria (Contact-PI)

    Benjamin Aribisala is a Professor of Computer Science in Lagos State University and a Fulbright Scholar. He was the HOD of Computer Science from 2014 to 2018, Dean of the Faculty of Science from 2018 to 2020 and the Director of ICT from July 2020 to December 2020. He was a member of the Governing Council of LASU and a member of the Board of Governors of Lagos State University College of Medicine. His current research interest is in the field of data science and medical application. He is also interested in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning and medical image analysis. Before joining LASU, Professor Benjamin Aribisala had worked in Newcastle University (England, UK) and University of Edinburgh (Scotland, UK) where he conducted research on brain imaging, medical image analysis and machine learning. He is a fellow of the Nigerian Computer Society, a member of the British Computer Society and the Society for brain mapping and therapeutics. He is a great teacher, an excellent mentor, a leader, an administrator and a researcher
