    GCAP: Genome-wide characterization of complex variants and their phenotypic effects in African populations (Co-PI)

    Dr. Itunuoluwa Isewon is a computational biologist and data scientist with over a decade of experience analyzing large-scale genomic datasets. Her research spans human and pathogen genomics, with a focus on African populations. She develops and applies machine learning methods to investigate gene-environment interactions, psychiatric disorders, antimicrobial resistance, and population structure. Dr. Isewon also leads the development of data platforms and mobile health tools that support precision public health in resource-limited settings.
