    UZIMA-DS: UtiliZing health Information for Meaningful impact in East Africa through Data Science (Co-Lead Dsc Core)

    Noni is Head of Engagement at the KEMRI Wellcome Trust Research Programme (KWTRP), where she has headed the platform for the last 10 years. The platform comprises of 3 engagement areas: Community Engagement; Public, Schools/University Engagement; and Policy Engagement and aims at strengthening relations and building mutual understanding between researchers and communities/stakeholders in all KWTRP research sites. Managing a team of 15 engagement staff, she oversees all engagement work that ensures stakeholders, community members, and policy makers have an opportunity to input into research planning, implementation, and dissemination. She is experienced in developing Engagement strategies, theories of change/evaluation frameworks, and training in both engagement and research ethics. She is a member of: the Global Health and Bioethics Network, NIHR CEI Advisory Network, Bioethics Society of Kenya, and formerly a member of Target Malaria Consortium's Ethics Advisory Board. She holds a masters degree in development communication.
