    Richard Ssenono heads the Information Services Department at the Infectious Diseases Institute (IDI), Makerere University College of Health Sciences. He has over 15 years’ experience in information management. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Library and Information Science (Makerere University), a Postgraduate Diploma in Information Technology-Amity University India and masters of Information technology from University of Pretoria, South Africa.
    He has been involved in many projects concerning application of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in libraries and health. He is a part-time lecturer at Makerere University and provides mentorship to health workers in Uganda and across Africa. He is also part of the Africa centre for systematic reviews and knowledge translation at Makerere University College of Health Sciences as a senior search strategist and NAML Member. He has presented at regional and international health information related conferences including the Medical Library Association (MLA), AHILA, and IFLA among others.
