    Tony Burdett is a team leader at the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI). He leads the Archival Infrastructure and Technology team, and his team are responsible for the technology behind the European Nucleotide Archive (ENA) and the BioSamples database. He co-leads the eLwazi Data Support working group witrh his colleague Lyndon Zass, and he co-leads the Data Coordination Platform activities as part of the Human Cell Atlas. He is also the ELIXIR Interoperability Platform lead.
