    Ronald Galiwango (PhD) is the deputy director of the African Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics and Data Intensive Sciences (ACE), Uganda. I hold a PhD in Computational Epidemiology from the University of Georgia, USA; an MPhil in Computational Biology from the University of Cambridge, UK; and a Bachelor of Science (Mathematics, Statistics) from Makerere University, Uganda. My interest generally lies in using bioinformatics and computational biology approaches to answer epidemiology research questions. These approaches include: network science, big data science, advanced statistical methodology, genomics, phylodynamics & phylogeography, mathematical modelling and simulation.
