    Dr. Williams has been the chief of epidemiology in the Division of AIDS at NIAID since 2003. In this position she has overseen numerous observational epidemiology studies such as the Multicenter AIDS Cohort Study, the Women's Interagency HIV Study and the International epidemiology Databases to Evaluate AIDS (IeDEA). Dr. Williams has been engaged in data science and big data research for many years and has championed the creation of databases to evaluate HIV globally.
