    Michael Mugisha is a faculty member at the University of Rwanda, College of Medicine and Health Sciences, School of Public Health. He is also finalizing his PhD at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Oslo in Norway. He has a Master of Public Health from the University of Rwanda and a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Kigali Health Institute (now part of the University of Rwanda). For the last seven years, he has worked at the University of Rwanda on various research, teaching and managerial roles. Mugisha has a wide range of technical skills in conducting research projects that involve multiple stakeholders both local and international. He has been involved in designing, applying grants and implementation of research projects. He has good management skills of complex projects that require task sharing among multiple stakeholders. He has sound financial management skills and has managed CDC-PEPFAR and EU-funded Implementation Science Research. He has a good record of accomplishment in steering collaborations with local team from Ministry of Health, Rwanda Biomedical Center, Rwanda Education Board, and various NGOs, through joint research activities. Mugisha lectures a Health Measurement and Research module and unit courses in Biostatistics to students from the College of Medicine and Health Sciences in undergraduate and postgraduate. He is interested in academic and research work related to design, development, implementation, and evaluation of innovations applied in health to improve health outcomes in low resource settings. Since 2017, he has contributed to the revision of the Master of Health Informatics curriculum and contributed to the development of Advanced Professional training courses for in-services staff in the Rwanda Ministry of Health (MoH) and the Rwanda Biomedical Centre (RBC).
