    My scientific background is in pharmacology, drug discovery and development, infectious diseases and public health. Additionally, I have expertise in grant administration, project, laboratory and research management. I am the project manager for two multi-national projects: H3Africa project called Hearing Impairment Genetics Study in Africa (HIGENES-Africa) and DS-I Africa project called Public Understanding of Big data in Genomics Medicine in Africa (PUBGEM-Africa) under the directorship of Prof Ambroise Wonkam. Our unit is based in the Division of Human Genetics at the University of Cape Town. I coordinate and support research activities such as participant recruitment, sample and laboratory management, site visits, workshops, training, network meetings, scientific writing and finance. My research interests are in Project management, public health and health conditions pertinent to the African continent.
