Mr Rimamdeyati Usman Yashe (Participant)

My name is Yashe Rimamdeyati Usman, head Data Management unit and SORMAS Lead in the department of Disease Surveillance and Epidemiology at the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC). I am a graduate of B.Sc. Human Anatomy, a trained Epidemiologist, had diploma in information technology and had undergone several trainings in data analysis/packages with master's in public health in view. I have work in the Disease surveillance and Epidemiology department in different capacities among as a surveillance officer, an epidemiologist, Data Manager and now the head, Data Management Unit and SORMAS Lead for the organization for over fifteen years. As Public health Surveillance officer and data manager, my main function including the systematic collection, analysis, and interpretation of health data and the timely dissemination of the resulting information to those who need them for action. This information is essential and used for planning, implementation, and evaluation of public health practice. Attending this conference will give me the opportunity to explores and interact with colleagues and other professions in the field of data sciences and learn from them.
