    Prof. Patrick Weke Oloo is a Full Professor of Actuarial Science at the School of Mathematics, University of Nairobi since 2014. He holds a PhD in Applied Actuarial Statistics and has taught both undergraduate and postgraduate students for over 30 years and his research interests are in the areas of Life and General Insurance, Mortality Investigations and Financial Mathematics. He has published 50 articles in refereed journals, 3 chapters in books and conference proceedings. He has supervised 10 PhD candidates mainly in the area of Financial Mathematics, and over 40 Master of Science candidates in Actuarial Science, Financial Mathematics and Statistics to completion. He served as Head of Actuarial Science and Financial Mathematics (2006 - 2014) and Director, School of Mathematics, University of Nairobi (2014 - 2022)
