Mr Antony Ngeresa (Participant)

I am currently a Research data manager with Academic Model Providing Access to Healthcare(AMPATH) in Eldoret, Kenya. I have a background in Applied Statistics with Information Technology from Maseno University, Kenya. I have previously worked as a data analyst with Kenya Medical Research Institute, Human Demographic Surveillance system. My tasks involved creating data collection tools, training data entry staff, validating data entry systems, performing scheduled and non-scheduled inconsistency checks on collected data, creating analytical data sets, statistical analysis among other duties delegated. Currently as a data manager, in consultation with principal investigators I oversee data management for several studies including managing client database, electronic medical records and reporting studies key indicators. Over time, I have gained experience in working with various programs for data management and analysis such as SAS, Stata, Python and R. I have interests in automating repeated processes and reports, by use of dashboards and data visualization tools and general data analytics.
