Data Science and Medical Image Analysis Training for Improved Health Care Delivery in Nigeria

I am a data scientist and AI researcher with a strong focus on applying data-driven solutions to healthcare challenges in Africa. I have a First-Class BSc and an MSc with Distinction in Computer Science, and I am a scholar of the NIH-funded Data Science and Medical Image Analysis Training for Improved Healthcare Delivery in Nigeria (DATICAN) program. My research centers on privacy-preserving machine learning and synthetic data generation for medical imaging, with a particular emphasis on addressing data scarcity in low-resource settings. My recent work involves developing computational models for generating synthetic mammography and brain MRI images with realistic pathological features, enabling the training of AI diagnostic systems without compromising patient privacy. Beyond research, I lead the development of scalable digital systems across education, healthcare, and financial technology sectors, demonstrating strong capacity in translating data science into real-world impact. His interdisciplinary experience positions him at the intersection of AI, healthcare, and ethical data use. I am very passionate about advancing responsible AI and strengthening data science capacity in Africa. I actively engage in initiatives that promote collaborative research, knowledge sharing, and ethical innovation. My long-term goal is to build robust, privacy-aware AI systems that improve healthcare delivery and support evidence-based decision-making across underserved communities in Africa.
