    Norbert Nawe is a Data Science for Health professional holding an MSc in Data Science (Biostatistics) and a background in Applied Mathematics, currently advancing as a PhD Candidate in Data Science with specialization in Biostatistics at the University of Rwanda. Skilled in statistical analysis, machine learning, and health data engineering using R and Python, serving as a Data Science for Health Fellow within the SYNAPSE Project (UR/CMHS) mainly aiming at generation of high-quality synthetic healthcare datasets for Rwanda and validation using the WashU MDClone platform. I also contribute to data-driven decision support, healthcare data analytics, and national health intelligence initiatives at Rwanda's Ministry of Health (MoH)/National Health Intelligence Centre (NHIC). I am passionate about leveraging data science methodologies to generate actionable health insights, strengthen evidence-based policy and planning, and advance the use of synthetic healthcare data for research and innovation.
