    Noni Mumba Head of Engagement, KEMRI-Wellcome Research Programme (KWRP) Noni Mumba is the Head of Engagement at the KEMRI-Wellcome Research Programme (KWRP) in Kenya. She has over ten years of experience in community and public engagement for global health research in low- and middle-income country (LMIC) settings, alongside a prior decade in health promotion and strategic communication with non-governmental organizations across Kenya. At KWRP, Noni leads the development of engagement strategies and innovative approaches that strengthen collaboration between researchers, communities, stakeholders, and policymakers. Her work also includes building engagement capacity among researchers and practitioners through teaching, webinars, and collaborative initiatives. She has contributed to global engagement tools such as the MESH Online CEI Course and the WHO Good Participatory Practice Toolbox for COVID-19 Clinical Trials. Noni is a member of the Global Health Bioethics Network (GHBN) and the NIHR Community Engagement and Involvement Advisory Network and has co-authored several publications on community engagement and ethics. She holds a master's degree in development communication.
