    Dr. Florence Kivunike has over two decades of expertise in Computer and Systems Sciences. Currently serving as a Senior Lecturer at Makerere University, her work sits at the vital intersection of ICT for Development (ICT4D), Health Data Science, and Digital Transformation. She holds a PhD from Stockholm University, complementing her foundational background in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Makerere University. Throughout her career, Florence has been a pivotal figure in high-impact research and project coordination. She serves as a Co-Investigator and coordinates several NIH-funded programs focused on bioinformatics and tuberculosis transmission. Her research specializes in evidence-based decision-making, agricultural informatics, and the ethical deployment of ICTs.
