    Dr Collins Morang'a - Participant


    I am a Postdoctoral Fellow at WACCBIP, University of Ghana and my research focus is to investigate genomic variation of pathogens, host pathogen interactions and conducting genomic surveillance. Part of my responsibilities is to develop analytical tools and dashboards to support genomic surveillance of pathogens such as Plasmodium falciparum and SARS-CoV-2. Currently, I am supporting the development of Genomic Surveillance of Malaria (GSM) dashboard and Geo-enabled Detect and Respond System for Antimalarial Resistance in Ghana (GDRS-Ghana). Being based at WACCBIP, has allowed me to work in world class facilities while collaborating with world-renowned scientists, and presenting my work at international conferences and workshops. Overall, I have contributed to more than 20 research publications, including four as lead author. Also, I have contributed to the communication of research outputs through presentations in over 10 scientific meetings and conferences
