Data Science and Medical Image Analysis Training for Improved Health Care Delivery in Nigeria (DATICAN) (PhD trainee)

I am a doctoral student of Computer Science at Lagos State University and my area of research focuses on Data Science, with an emphasis on its application in Medical Image analysis. I am passionate about academics and exhibit a keen interest in Mathematical modeling of diseases, Information retrieval, web application development, and financial forecasting. I have skills in Python programming for data science. Also, in web application development using state-of-the-art technologies. My MSc. dissertation was centered around measles diagnosis using images and artificial neural networks, this shows my early commitment to the field of medical image analysis. Currently, for my Ph.D. research, I am dedicated to the development of deep learning models for the diagnosis of breast cancer aggressiveness in African women. As I continue to make significant strides in my research and contributions to the field, my burning desire is to enhance healthcare delivery by reducing false positives and negatives, minimizing subjectivity, and improving the speed of diagnosis through medical applications. With a relentless commitment to academic excellence and a focus on the union of data science and medical diagnosis, I am ready to make a lasting impact on healthcare in Africa and beyond.
