Role of Data Streams In Informing Infection Dynamics in Africa (Pilot Project Lead)
I am the lead statistician at the Perinatal HIV Research Unit (PHRU), Faculty of Health Sciences, University of the Witwatersrand, working across several infectious and non-infectious disease studies. My roles have included conceptualization of ideas, study design, data analysis, interpretation of findings and writing grants and manuscripts. Additionally, I teach, supervise and examine postgraduate students at the School of Public Health, Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, University of the Witwatersrand. Among my most recent interests is in the use of data science techniques in the analysis and interpretation of medical research data as well as climate change research.
