    UtiliZing health Information for Meaningful impact in East Africa through Data Science (Faculty Mentee)

    Dr. Angela Koech Research physician scientist, MBChB, MSc, MMed. Aga Khan University Angela is a research physician scientist (Obstetrician) at the Aga Khan University's Centre of Excellence in Women and Child Health, East Africa and an Assistant professor at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She holds an MBChB degree (UoN), an MSc in Epidemiology (LSHTM) and a Masters in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (AKU). Angela has over 9 years' experience in clinical research in maternal and newborn health. She is the Kenya co-Principal Investigator of the Pregnancy Care Integrating Translational Science, Everywhere (PRECISE) study - a large multicentre study looking into placental disorders in Sub-Saharan Africa. PRECISE is a participant in the maternal and newborn child health core in UZIMA-DS, under the NIH funded DSI Africa programme. Angela is also a pilot grant awardee of UZIMA-DS. She lives in Kilifi, Kenya. Her research interests are: the role of diagnostics for antenatal care, antenatal ultrasound, predictive models for adverse pregnancy outcomes, maternal immunization and other areas of maternal health research. https://www.aku.edu/coe-wch/about/Pages/our-people-ea.aspx angela.koech@aku.edu
