    Harnessing Data Science to Promote Equity in Injury and Surgery for Africa (Co-PI)

    Fitsum Kifle is a lead researcher and academic at Project Network for Perioperative and Critical Care, based in various universities in Ethiopia. He has established a national perioperative quality improvement network with ongoing Quality Improvement (QI) programs and real-time evidence supporting the National Safe Surgery program. FK has led and collaborated with several acute care research programs, including the assessment of national critical care capacity in Ethiopia and the continental outcomes of critical COVID-19 patients. FK has won different grant awards both independently and collaboratively. He has published numerous articles on this subject in reputable journals. Additionally, he is actively involved in mentoring and training the next generation of researchers and leaders in global surgery and acute care.
