    Harnessing Data Science to Promote Equity in Injury and Surgery for Africa (Project Manager/Coordinator)

    Mr. Moses Isiagi is a lecturer, Projects manager, Research Advocacy and Implementation undergraduate convenor, Electives convenor, International Fellowships convenor, Masters course convenor in the Department of Surgery, Division of Global surgery University of Cape Town, MSc He is an interdisciplinary scientist with a rich and diverse educational background. He pursued his undergraduate studies in Sports Science at Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda, where he gained comprehensive knowledge in the field. Subsequently, he furthered his academic pursuits at the University of Cape Town in South Africa, obtaining a BSc (Honours) in Medicine and later an MSc in Medicine, with a notable distinction in the department of Exercise Science and Sports Medicine. Currently. He is particularly focused on understanding the geospatial determinants of health (GDOH) in low-resourced settings, including factors that vary by location by utilizing GIS, accelerometery, GPS, and other technologies. He is also focused on generating, translating, and scaling up evidence to reduce environmental health and social disparities, particularly in low-resourced communities in South Africa. His work centres on factors affecting the prevention, control, and mitigation of chronic and acute non-communicable diseases in populations
