Ms. Jacqueline Karuhanga is currently employed as the Grants Manager, serving as the head of the grants management office "MGO" at Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST). Jacqueline has over 10 years of experience in grants management and she is responsible for overall oversight of the administration / management of all sponsored awards to MUST( i.e a grant portfolio of 92 projects). She boasts of establishing of a strong grants management system with adequate controls and operating procedures, which has yielded an expanding grant portfolio, a strong base of collaborators / partners in addition to positioning MGO as the best grants management office in Uganda's public institutions of higher learning. She has participated in several grants management training courses locally and in other countries such as South Africa, USA, & Kenya and has successfully completed the SRA International Level UP Micro-credentialing certification courses in; Principles in pre-award research administration, Principles in Research development, Principles of Proposal development & Award Set-up & Negotiation.
