    Open Data Science Platform (Bioinformatics associate)

    Alfred Ssekagiri is a Bioinformatician at the Uganda Virus Research Institute. Alfred provides bioinformatics analysis support to researchers at UVRI in addition to his endeavors around pipelines, workflows, and databases within the greater H3ABioNet/ELwazi-ODSP community. He is a PhD fellow with the Ugandan NIH H3Africa bioinformatics training programme (BRECA). As part of this fellowship, he is assessing the impact of minority HIV-1 drug resistant variants in HIV-1 patients on Dolutegravir-based regimens. Alfred holds a master's degree in bioinformatics, a master's degree in mathematical and a Bachelor of Science with education (Mathematics/physics).
