    Developing data science solutions to mitigate the health impacts of climate change in Africa: the HE2AT Center (HEAT) (Faculty mentee)

    Dr Olumuyiwa Adegun is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Architecture, Federal University of Technology, Akure. Nigeria. His research interests are related to environmental sustainability and climate in the built environment, including housing within cities in sub-Sahara Africa. His recent works addresses heat-health nexus in the context of slums and informal settlements. He currently leads a pilot project, focused on assessing intra-urban heat-health vulnerability in Lagos, funded through the NIH programme within the HE2AT Centre at the Wits Reproductive Health Institute. He currently has 54 peer-reviewed publications, an Affiliate of African Academy of Sciences and holds a South Africa NRF Y-rating.
