    Dr. Churchill joined the National Institute of Mental Health in 2007. Jay currently serves as Co-Lead for the NIMH Training Team; Co-lead for the BRAIN Initiative Neuroethics Team; Team Lead addressing ethical, legal, and social implications research in the Data Science Initiative in Africa; and the NIMH Lead for a partnership with the Department of Defense focused on suicide. Jay maintains programmatic involvement through managing BRAIN K99 and BRAIN neuroethics grants, DS-I Africa ELSI grants, and diversity focused training programs. In the past, he served as NIMH lead for the disease-focused human connectome projects, for the baby- and adolescent-human connectome projects, as the BRAIN initiative Co-lead for developing next generation non-invasive human imaging technology, as the BRAIN initiative Co-lead for Training Inclusion and Equity, and also as the lead for a Blueprint effort focused on neuroscience education in K-12 classrooms.
