    Harnessing Data Science to Promote Equity in Injury and Surgery for Africa (D-SINE) (PhD trainee)

    Touko Arole Darwin is an experienced health data analyst for the Cameroon Trauma Registry project under the D-SINE Africa project. With a strong background in trauma care and registry management, Touko has played a pivotal role in the successful implementation and ongoing operation of this critical project.

    As the project field supervisor, Touko has demonstrated exceptional skills in data management, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement. He has been instrumental in designing and implementing a comprehensive trauma registry system, ensuring the collection of high-quality data that informs evidence-based policies and research initiatives. Touko's deep understanding of the local healthcare landscape and his ability to build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, researchers, and policymakers have been invaluable assets to the project.

    Touko's commitment to improving trauma care outcomes in Cameroon is evident in his research work, which focuses on the activation of trauma teams for injured patients, data science in HIV and Mental Health, and Psychosocial Support.

    Touko is poised to make significant contributions to the field of Public Health. He aims to enhance his expertise in health data science, enabling him to share his insights and foster collaborations that will elevate trauma care and research initiatives across the region.
