    Research Training on Harnessing Data Science for Global Health Priorities in Africa (Project Manager/Coordinator)

    Dr. Nisha Nadesan-Reddy is a dedicated Public Health Medicine specialist with over a decade of experience in the field. Her interests lie in capacity building, training, particularly focusing on mentorship models for low- and middle-income countries, implementation science, health systems strengthening, and resilience, climate change, and health. Her journey in academia began with managing the University of KwaZulu-Natal's Medical Education Partnership Initiative (MEPI) grant from 2011 to 2015. This grant (R24TW008863), funded by the National Institutes of Health and Fogarty International Centre, laid the foundation for her subsequent achievements, including the management of the D43 NIH grant, Developing Research, Innovation, Localisation, and Leadership in South Africa (DRILL- D43TW010131), which concluded at the end of 2023. Throughout her career, Dr. Nadesan-Reddy has honed her skills in successful grantsmanship, grant proposal writing, with a particular emphasis on project management. Her professional journey is marked by her involvement in various projects aimed at addressing critical health challenges. She currently serves as the Project Manager for several initiatives, including the Warning system for Extreme weather events, Awareness Technology for Healthcare, Equitable delivery, and Resilience (WEATHER) project, funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research.
