UZIMA-DS: UtiliZing health Information for Meaningful impact in East Africa through Data Science (PhD Student)

I am an enthusiastic Ph.D. student in Applied Mathematics, specializing in Applied Machine Learning, at Stellenbosch University. Driven by my passion for research and a deep desire to create a significant impact, my primary focus lies in the application of advanced machine learning techniques to address Early Childhood Developmental Challenges. Specifically, I am dedicated to developing innovative algorithms that can accurately predict poor developmental outcomes in children. By leveraging the power of machine learning, I aim to contribute to the field's understanding and ultimately enhance the well-being and future prospects of young children. I hold a Master of Science in Mathematical Sciences from University of Cape, South Africa, and a Master of Science in Machine Intelligence at African Institute for Mathematical Sciences, Ghana.
