    Research Training on Harnessing Data Science for Global Health Priorities in Africa (Co-Investigator)

    Adam Wilcox, PhD is a Professor of Medicine and the Director of the Center for Applied Clinical Informatics, Institute for Informatics, Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine. He has broad experience in both applied and research informatics, both in academia and healthcare delivery organizations. He leads strategy and activities related to application of informatics tools and methods to improve clinical care and research. He has led data and analytics strategy development to improve care delivery and transformation; clinical decision support implementation; development of primary care and care management health record systems; and population health research data systems. He is an elected fellow of the American College of Medical Informatics, and has authored over 100 book chapters, peer-reviewed articles and abstracts in clinical informatics. He is an appointed member of the PCORI Methodology Committee, where he is focused on informatics and investigating issues with the use of secondary data for outcomes research.
