    NYU-Moi Data Science for Social Determinants Training Program (NIH Staff)

    Lori Scott-Sheldon is the Chief of Data Science and Emerging Methodologies in HIV in the Division of AIDS (DAR) at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH). She leads efforts to expand the sharing and reuse of data in the field of HIV, including the use of common data elements to support data harmonization across HIV research, and promotes advances in the use and application of data science to support HIV prevention, treatment, and care. Prior to joining NIMH, she was a Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University where she spent over a decade engaged in HIV research including harmonizing and integrating large data sets, modeling HIV prevention strategies, and training future scientists.
