    UZIMA-DS: UtiliZing health Information for Meaningful impact in East Africa through Data Science (Project Manager/Coordinator)

    Eileen Weinheimer-Haus, PhD, RDN, is a Senior Project Manager in the Department of Learning Health Sciences at the University of Michigan (U-M). She is involved in the development and execution of programs and projects related to using Big Data and novel machine-learning analytical tools to guide precision and population health, with a particular focus on resource-constrained settings. Eileen currently serves as the U-M Program Management lead for UtiliZing health Information for Meaningful impact in East Africa through Data Science (UZIMA-DS), an NIH U54 Research Hub which is Co-Lead by the Aga Khan University East Africa (Amina Abubakar) and U-M (Akbar Waljee). Prior to joining U-M, she spent time in the private and public sectors in the areas of nutrition, exercise, metabolism, and aging. Eileen holds a master's degree in Exercise Physiology from Ball State University and a doctorate in Nutrition Science from Purdue University.
