    Advancing Public Health Research in Eastern Africa through Data Science Training (APHREA-DST) (Faculty mentee)

    Idah Orowe is an academician and researcher at the University of Nairobi (UoN). She is also a Co PI and first cohort faculty scholar for Advancing Public Health Research through Data Science Training (APHREA DST.) As a faculty scholar she was introduced to and developed a lot of interest in public health data science. Idah Orowe and others, through APHREA DST were involved in the development of a new data science program at UoN known Msc Public Health Data Science. Idah Orowe has more than 15 years experience as a lecturer at UoN, teaching biostatistics and other statistics courses. She has taught courses such as Epidemiology, Survival data analysis, Design of clinical trials in addition to other statistical courses such as Sample survey, Inference, Exploratory data analysis, Linear Regression. She has gained a lot of practical experience by collaborating with other researchers in related fields both locally and internationally. She has supervised several research projects for graduate students and has over 15 peer reviewed articles.
